This test takes approximately 15 minutes to complete on each trunk. While the test is running on a trunk, the system takes the trunk out of service.
CAUTION: Only run this test at the request of Mitel Technical Support. System performance could be degraded while the test is running.
NOTE: Only run these tests after business hours during periods of low call traffic.
To run the tests:
Ensure that you have configured the system to support testing. See
Access the Line Quality Measurement form.
Click Run Test.
Select the Test Type. To test a single trunk select Individual Distortion/Echo then select the PLID of the trunk. To run the test on all the eligible LS trunks in the system, select Batch Distortion/Echo. The PLID field is disabled.
Click Run.
If the test is successful, the test results are saved in the "/db/database/LSMeasure" directory. If the test fails, an error message is displayed. See Error Messages.
Run a System Diagnostic Report to automatically collect all the echo/distortion files. Then, send the System Diagnostic Report files to Mitel Technical Support for analysis. See System Diagnostic Reporting for instructions.
